Even before he helped to form Native American Television (NATV) in 1988, Rick worked with Native American organizations on a variety of media projects including: The National Congress of American Indians, Indian Health Services, and the Nez Perce Indian Nation. NATV is a 501(c)(3) corporation dedicated to promoting issues of importance to the American Indian community. Programming has included: The Meaning of Sundance, Health and the American Indian, and a special on the participation of Native Americans at the Clinton inauguration, which was broadcast via satellite on President's Day, 1993. Rick has substantial production experience through his many years as a video producer for a large corporation with government sponsors. He has also produced a wide variety of public accesss television and radio programs. Rick has a Master's Degree in Film and Television Production from American University, Washington, D.C. Rick will be Wisdomkeeper's Executive Producer and Director, overseeing the production of the film as well as working with the writers, producers and crew in order to fulfill the vision of the project.
