These video streams were captured on October 7, 2000 during the Monacan Indian Homecoming Celebration in Amherst County Virginia. We discussed many issues of importance to the Monacans and to all Virginia Indians. During the upcoming months NATV will highlight additional Elders, leaders, and members from the Monacans, and other Virginia tribes. In addition, many of these segments will be highlighted in the upcoming film Wisdomkeepers of Virginia, which is a journey to the homes, hearts and minds of Virginia’s Native American population.
